नई दिल्लीअमेरिका की कार निर्माता भारतीय बाजार में दो नई लाने की तैयारी में है। कंपनी इस साल Jeep Compass का फेसलिफ्ट मॉडल लॉन्च करेगी, जिसके बाद एक 7-सीटर एसयूवी बाजार में उतारेगी। इस 7-सीटर एसयूवी का कोडनाम Low-D है। इनके अलावा जीप एक सब-कॉम्पैक्ट एसयूवी भी डिवेलप कर रही है। जीप की सब-कॉम्पैक्ट एसयूवी की मार्केट में सीधी टक्कर , महिंद्रा एक्सयूवी300, फॉर्ड इकोस्पोर्ट और आने वाली मारुति जिम्नी जैसी गाड़ियों से होगी। जीप की यह 4-मीटर से छोटी एसयूवी फिएट के न्यू-जेनरेशन पांडा 4×4 प्लैटफॉर्म पर आधारित होगी। इस नई एसयूवी को स्थानीय रूप से फिएट की रंजनगांव फेसिलिटी में डिवेलप किया जाएगा। इसमें लोकल कम्पोनेन्ट्स का काफी ज्यादा इस्तेमाल होगा, जिसके चलते इसकी कीमत 10 लाख रुपये से कम रहने की उम्मीद है। यह भारत के साथ-साथ ग्लोबल मार्केट्स में भी जीप की सबसे छोटी और सबसे सस्ती एसयूवी होगी। कुछ रिपोर्ट्स में कहा गया है कि कंपनी इस नई एसयूवी के लिए PSA CMF मॉड्यूलर प्लैटफॉर्म का इस्तेमाल कर सकती है। नई जीप एसयूवी में इलेक्ट्रिक और हाइब्रिड पावरट्रेन की सुविधा भी होने की उम्मीद है। CMF मॉड्यूलर प्लैटफॉर्म अलग-अलग बॉडी स्टाइल और इलेक्ट्रिक, हाइब्रिड, पेट्रोल और डीजल सहित कई इंजन ऑप्शन के लिए अनुकूल है। इंजन जीप की नई सब-कॉम्पैक्ट एसयूवी में नए 1.3-लीटर, 4-सिलिंडर टर्बोचार्ज्ड पेट्रोल इंजन का डि-ट्यून्ड वर्जन मिलने की उम्मीद है। यह इंजन दो अलग-अलग पावर आउटपुट के साथ आएगा। इनमें एक 150PS पावर और 270Nm टॉर्क और दूसरा 180PS पावर और 270Nm टॉर्क है। इसके अलावा एसयूवी में डीजल इंजन का भी ऑप्शन मिलेगा। पढ़ें: कब होगी लॉन्च‌? जीप की यह छोटी एसयूवी साल 2021 में भारतीय बाजार में लॉन्च होने वाली है। वहीं, इंटरनैशनल मार्केट में इसे 2022 में उतारा जाएगा। ग्लोबल मार्केट में इसका सीधा मुकाबला सुजुकी जिम्नी और फॉर्ड इकोस्पोर्ट से होगा। पढ़ें:
