नई दिल्ली हीरो मोटोकॉर्प (Hero Motocorp) ने अपनी पॉप्युलर बाइक हीरो सुपर स्प्लेंडर () को BS6 इंजन के साथ पेश कर दिया है। यह बाइक सेल्फ ड्रम अलॉय वील और सेल्फ डिस्क अलॉय वील वेरियंट्स में उपलब्ध है। सेल्फ ड्रम अलॉय वील वेरियंट की कीमत 67,300 और सेल्फ डिस्क अलॉय वील 70,800 रुपये है। कंपनी ने अपनी सभी BS4 मॉडल्स का प्रॉडक्शन बंद कर दिया है। पहले से ज्यादा पावरफुल हुई सुपर स्प्लेंडर नई सुपर स्प्लेंडर में 125cc PFI (प्रोग्राम्ड फ्यूल इंजेक्शन) इंजन दिया गया है जो XSens टेक्नॉलजी से लैस है। नई सुपर स्प्लेंडर का पावर आउटपुर आउटगोइंग मॉडल से 19 फीसदी ज्यादा है। अब यह इंजन 10.73bhp पावर और 10.6Nm टॉर्क जनरेट करता है। हीरो की इस बाइक में 5 स्पीड गियरबॉक्स दिया गया है। बाइक हीरो i3S टेक्नॉलजी के साथ आती है जिससे जरूरत न होने पर इंजन खुद ही स्विच ऑफ हो जाता है और जरूरत होने पर क्लच प्रेस करने पर इंजन स्टार्ट हो जाता है। नई सुपर स्प्लेंडर में रियर और सस्पेंशन ट्रैवल को बढ़ा दिया गया है। पहले से ज्यादा ग्राउंड क्लियरेंस नई हीरो सुपर स्प्लेंडर में ग्राउंड क्लियरेंस 30mm बढ़ा दिया गया है। ज्यादा कम्फर्ट के लिए बाइक में पहले से 45mm ज्यादा लंबी सीट दी गई है। बाइक में 240 फ्रंट डिस्क ब्रेक दिए गए हैं। इसके अलावा यह बाइक 130mm रियर ड्रम ब्रेक CBS (कंबाइंड ब्रेकिंग सिस्टम) दिया गया है। बाइक में पहले से ज्यादा रिफ्रेशिंग लुक दिया गया है। बाइक में ड्यूल पेंट स्कीम का इस्तेमाल किया गया है। मिलेंगे नए कलर ऑप्शन बाइक को ऑल न्यू मेटेलिक नेक्सस ब्लू शेड में पेश किया गया है। इसके अलावा यह बाइक 3 और कलर ऑप्शन कैंडी ब्लेजिंग रेड, ग्लेज ब्लैक और हैवी ग्रे कलर में उपलब्ध है। अब कंपनी ने अपने BS4 मॉडल्स का प्रॉडक्शन पूरी तरह बंद कर दिया है। हीरो ने भारत की पहली BS6 बाइक भी लॉन्च की थी।
